Top 5 Transformative Education Bloggers You MUST Follow

As I have mentioned before, not all resources are created equal. So, I’m going to share my personally vetted top 5 favorite bloggers in the Educational blog world that really changed my life for the better. By the end of the article, you will discover these spectacular,  life-changing resources may really help you on your educational journey. These are not in a particular order as they all serve a different purpose for me.

Are you ready? Let’s dive in!

Leader #1: Brittany Jeltema

Brittany Jeltema, founder of “The SuperHERO Teacher,” provides her followers with STUNNING resources to cultivate an environment of inclusion and creativity. Her free bookmark every week for a year is what drew me in to following her. My students are always so excited to get a new inspiring bookmark! 😉 She regularly provides super fantastic freebies for classroom decor. My personal favorite item I have purchased from her is her interactive “Take What you Need, Give What You Can” bulletin boards. I purchased one for my 5th grade classroom and it has been so cool to see kids grabbing the quotes that inspire them and then giving back something inspiring to their classmates.

Brittany has resources for all grade levels from her ELA or math Bell Ringers to her sweet hands-on classroom decor. Her tools will inspire a safe, nurturing environment for all students.

Leader #2: Jennifer Findley

As a 5th Grade Teacher, Jennifer Findley is my #1 go-to for engaging curriculum resources. I have not seen another teacher blogger that provides followers with more quality FREE resources than Jennifer. She sends out free resources with practically every post, and they are EXCELLENT every time. Even if I don’t need them right at that moment, I go ahead and save them because I know I will use them in the future. Her curriculum, activities, assessments, and insights are SO practical for my day to day life in the 5th Grade classroom.

If you are a 4th or 5th grade teacher, Jennifer is a MUST follow!

Leader #3: Trevor Muir

“Relationships are the foundation for a successful classroom. Of course there’s more to teaching than just building relationships, but they are the bedrock for a thriving classroom.” – Trevor Muir

I first heard of Trevor Muir through his facebook page called, “The EPIC Classroom.” I remember reading one of the first posts I had seen by him and thinking, “Wow! This guy gets it!” Trevor has an impeccable handle on what life day-to-day looks like in the classroom. He regularly resets my tired teacher mind. He brings his audience back to what is important in the classroom both for teachers and their students. He is a must-follow for practical insights on keeping your sanity in the classroom regardless of what age group you serve.

Leader #4: Kasey Bell

Let’s talk Ed-Tech real quick! I will most definitely elaborate on this in future posts, however, here is a quick snippet. I really didn’t have any sort of handle on EdTech until I attended FETC in Miami back at the beginning of 2020. This conference radically changed my understanding of technology and how to practice it in the classroom. One of the biggest influencers for me at this time was Kasey Bell.

This Texas Native will inspire you to “Shake Up Learning” with her blog and podcast full of technology advice and resources. Kasey keeps her site up-to-date with weekly tips and tricks for understanding the constant changes in technology. Her classroom tech resources are endless, and they will transform your classroom! One of my favorite resources to use regularly is her Interactive Tic-Tac-Toe Choice Board
